ACA 2011 Academic Awards.

Today was Aristoi Classical Academy's 2011 Awards Ceremony. We were aware that both kids would be receiving an award and that we were invited to attend the ceremony.

What we did not know was how well our boys had performed this year. Both boys had won two awards each, and three of the awards were only given to one child, per grade, per subject. There were dozens of children and only a few won awards - my children won two each.

I was so deeply proud of them and their hard work this year.

Maxwell:

Language Arts Achievement (One per class - Maxwell entered Kindergarden without the ability to read.)

Science Achievement (One per grade - Maxwell repeatedly received behavior warnings from this teacher at the beginning of the year).

Lambert:

Math Achievement (This one was no surprise. Lambert is a math whiz.)

High Honor Roll (Part of his grade is based on behavior. He had such trouble last year - to have a child on High Honor Roll makes me deeply proud and humble.)
