Lambert and Daddy play with the Trains!

Lambert picked out a new bridge for his Thomas the Tank Engine train set today with some of his birthday and Christmas money. He had a good time setting it up with Dad and he now likes to watch the trains collapse into the 'water' when the bridge breaks (a feature of this bridge). Mom took the pictures - mostly to prove that I do exist, since I am in so few - due to the fact that I am taking most of the pictures.

A tresure Chest for the Boys.

I made a treasure chest for the boys for their treats for being good kids. It is a box I bought from Garden Ridge and then I distressed it with chains, sand paper, a dremel and other tools. I then stained it red oak and made fake looking parchment for the top. I burned the edges (thanks Sharon for teaching me that trick when I was a kid) and glued it to the surface. I finished it in a matte varnish. I also made a treasure map and glued it to the inside lid of the treasure chest. They now can find their booty!

It is still drying in the pictures which is why it is so shiny. Hope the boys like the loot and booty they will get from this box!

Fishing Practice on Christmas Day

Lambert and I had to test out Pappa Bruce's fishing pole Christmas Presents out in the front yard. Lambert really got the hang of casting pretty quickly and was getting some distance pretty fast. He loves it! I think he will be catching his own soon!

Christmas at the Moulenbelt's 2007

The boys got up at 7am this morning and SANTA HAD VISITED! The boys tore into the presents. Max saw a Little Einstein's Toy named 'Rocket' and basically that was it. He stayed with that most of the morning. This left Lambert to open ALL of the presents and then kind of chuck the ones that were Max's to him when open. Lambert has been playing with his fishing pole this morning as well as Play Dough and Max has Rocket and some other things.

We really want to thank you all for all of the great gifts. We have had another awesome Christmas. Now we need to put a whole bunch of old toys in the donation pile. Our house is too small! ;)

Merry Christmas to you all,

Jason

Christmas Eve with the Moulenbelt's

On Christmas Eve we opened one present. It was a singing book toy for both of the boys. The book plays music and you are supposed to sing along. Kind of a Kereoke for kids.
Maxwell loved the microphone and kept shouting 'Merry Christmas' into it. As if he needed to be amplified...

The Christmas Special at the Kids School!

Lambert and Maxwell had their Christmas Special tonight at their school. They sung all the old school favorites like: 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas', 'Silent Night', 'Jingle Bells', 'Go Tell it on the Mountain', and 'Three Little Christmas Trees'.
Lambert did a very good job singing and doing the hand and arm motions and Maxwell sung very well when he wasn't giving Ninja Kick Demonstrations on stage.
